on a buffett, but a type of lightly battered, fried seafood; made famous by several old family
restaurants in Calabash, NC!

FACT: Crab Cakes abound
in many of the Myrtle Beach Restaurants. The traditional "southern"
crab cakes and deviled crab are usually made with crackers or bread
mixed as a filler, along with peppers, onions and other ingredients.
"Maryland" crab cakes consist mostly of prime lump crab meat, mayonnaise,
and Old Bay or other seasonings. |

FACT: There is only
one type of restaurant that the Grand Strand lacks, and that is a good
North Carolina barbeque shack. If you're from up north, try to find
a STAMEY'S or HENRY JAMES barbeque restaurant on your way home. This
is the best cheap, fast food you'll ever find!
