It might seem funny, but Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle have outlawed thong bathing suits.
Come down here on Memorial Day, and you will think (or WISH) that you were just in a nudist
colony with some of the things you'll see on the back of a motorcycle. But don't walk
out on the beach with a thong or you might see a jail cell. Actually we're not sure how
they handle the crime of donning a thong on our fair beaches. They might write you a ticket
like a speeding ticket or something? Stay tuned... I will try to find out.
Thongs or Bikinis on the Beach
It's also hard to determine where to draw the line between a string bikini and a thong.
WikiPedia defines a THONG as
the same thing as a G-String, admittedly, that is rather
a distasteful concept...
"A thong, G-string, or tanga is a narrow piece of cloth or leather that passes between the legs
and is attached to a band around the hips, worn as a bikini bottom or as underwear."
is what they write...and give this photo as an example...
It's probably a good thing. Just like with a man's "SPEEDO", the ones that wear them are usually
the ones that SHOULDN'T
